Athene has worked with the Mittal Family since 2001, firstly through her role as an Executive Tax Director at Ernst & Young and later moving in-house to the Family Office in May 2011. Whilst her main responsibilities include tax, regulatory and compliance, she has been involved in a wide range of matters over the years from major business acquisitions/disposals through to charity governance. In July 2017 Athene joined the Swordfish team and is primarily responsible for finance, accounts and HR. Athene graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc in Mathematics. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
